Omega Resource Group is seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide expert technical support to customers, addressing pre-sale and post-sale technical queries related to Solar PV, Energy Storage Systems, and EV-charging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and webchat, addressing design and product advice, planning, product application, and troubleshooting.
  • Document call details on the Customer Management system.
  • Assist with queries related to firmware, communication, settings, fault finding, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain product, industry, and regulatory knowledge through in-person and remote supplier training, as well as online resources.
  • Share knowledge with colleagues and display good people skills to manage customer expectations.
  • Follow RMA processes where necessary and appreciate when to cease support.
  • Liaise with manufacturers' technical teams when required.
  • Participate in the Brand Ambassador programme, collaborating with other departments, with a focus on specific brands.
  • Represent the Technical department in project, supplier, and customer meetings.
  • Support the team in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Attend supplier and event sites for training and provide support for other departmental activities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Strong electrical background with installation experience.
  • Working technical knowledge of Solar PV, ESS, and EV charging.
  • Computer literacy and ability to use CRM systems.
  • Technically minded.
