About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader Chef to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a Team Leader Chef, you will be responsible for leading a team of chefs in the preparation and cooking of meals to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Management
- Lead a team of chefs in the preparation and cooking of meals
- Develop and implement menus and recipes to meet the needs of our patients and clients
- Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standard
- Food Safety and Hygiene
- Ensure that all food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times
- Conduct regular audits to ensure that all food safety and hygiene procedures are being followed
- Inventory Management
- Manage the inventory of food and supplies
- Ensure that all food and supplies are stored and handled properly
- Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service to our patients and clients
- Ensure that all customer complaints are handled promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Qualifications
- Relevant chef qualification (NVQ 3) or equivalent
- Level 3 Food Hygiene
- Experience
- Significant experience in a similar environment
- I.T Literate
- An understanding of dietary requirements
- Skills
- Self motivating
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to work under pressure
- Patient, organised and friendly
- Problem Solving
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Ability to motivate staff and delegate duties
- Good customer care skills
