Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Female Personal Assistant to join our team at Disability North. The successful candidate will provide dedicated support to a busy lady with a spinal injury, requiring full assistance with daily living activities, work, and social engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support with work-related tasks, such as administrative duties and communication
  • Accompany the client to social activities, appointments, and recreational events
  • Assist with everyday chores, such as cooking, cleaning, and dog walking
  • Provide transportation in a mobility car, requiring a clean driving license

Requirements

  • Essential to hold a clean driving license and be able to transport in a mobility car
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting individuals with complex needs

Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will be required to work regular shifts, including some flexibility to cover holidays and sickness. All training will be provided by the Spinal Nurse from James Cook Hospital.
