About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Service Manager to join our management team at Voyage Care Ltd. As a Deputy Service Manager, you will play a central role in leading our residential service in Swindon, working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of colleagues to support individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds, and challenging behaviors.
  • Develop and implement person-centered support plans, conduct care needs assessments, and complete supervisions/appraisals.
  • Recruit and induct new colleagues, complete medication competencies and medication audits, and attend multi-disciplinary meetings.
  • Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of the service, including participating in the on-call rota.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a care management role, with a Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds, and challenging behaviors.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, service users, and their families.
