About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Cloud Technology Risk Specialist to join our team at JP Morgan Chase Bank, National Association. As a key member of our Cloud Foundational Services team, you will play a pivotal role in mitigating technology risks and upholding operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Risk Management: Document and monitor operational risk and control environment to identify existing and emerging operational risk and issues.
  • Risk Assessment and Evaluation: Evaluate and document issues related to changes in the risk environment and operational risk priorities.
  • Thematic Risk Identification: Identify and aggregate thematic risk related to findings and trends (including risk from other products and hygiene) to address within product/LOB.
  • Compensating Controls: Assist product owner with identifying compensating controls for high severity risks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage 2nd line of defense to discuss risk posture and to obtain non-objection when required.
  • Risk Communication: Communicate heightened risk that is relevant to stakeholders and customers to ensure transparency and appropriate prioritization for remediation.
  • Compliance and Governance: Understand legal obligations applicable to the product and how the processes and associated controls provide evidence of compliance.
  • Issue Management: Coordinate and monitor issue management to ensure timely and sustainable remediation and provide thematic analysis to identify trends.
  • Risk Assessment Structure: Maintain Risk Assessment Structure (RAS) in CORE to accurately represent critical processes and drive the right accountability.
  • Audit and Regulatory Response: Partner with process owners to respond to internal and external audit and regulatory requests for information.
  • Technology Risk Prioritization: Assess and influence technology risk priorities within the book of work that are aligned to control design in the LOB/product roadmap as well as, educate and advise on the process from permit to build to permit to operate.
Requirements
  • Experience and Expertise: Experience or equivalent expertise in technology risk management, information security, or related field, emphasizing risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
  • Risk Management Frameworks: Familiarity with risk management frameworks, industry standards, and financial industry regulatory requirements.
  • Data Security and Risk Assessment: Proficient knowledge and expertise in data security, risk assessment & reporting, control evaluation, design, and governance, with a proven record of implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Influencing Executive-Level Decision-Making: Demonstrated ability to influence executive-level strategic decision-making and translating technology insights into business strategies for senior executives.
