At Rolls-Royce SMR, we are at the forefront of transforming the energy sector with innovative solutions. We are seeking a Lead C&I Engineer to play a pivotal role in the design and development of a groundbreaking nuclear power facility.
Role Overview:
As the Lead C&I Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering expert technical guidance throughout the lifecycle of Control and Instrumentation systems for our Small Modular Reactor (SMR) project. Your contributions will encompass:
- Developing comprehensive designs for C&I systems, including system architecture and equipment specifications.
- Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
- Translating high-level requirements into detailed specifications for C&I systems.
- Ensuring adherence to international safety standards, including IEC 61513, IEC 61226, and IEC 61508.
- Creating validation and testing plans to confirm that system requirements are met.
- Supporting the lifecycle management of C&I systems through effective policy implementation.
- Providing input for safety cases and engaging with regulatory bodies.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for individuals who possess a robust background in C&I system design, with a focus on:
- Extensive experience in the design lifecycle of safety-critical C&I systems.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards relevant to safety systems.
- Proficiency in applying advanced systems engineering methodologies.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and oversee technical projects.
Qualifications:
Applicants should hold a degree in electrical engineering, electronics, instrumentation, control systems, mechatronics, physics, or computer science. Equivalent experience may also be considered.
