Job Summary

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government is seeking a skilled professional to lead the development of a comprehensive blueprint for elections and voter registration processes. This individual will work closely with the Business Architect to oversee and quality assure the blueprint, ensuring it meets the needs of the Directorate and aligns with the Government's Major Projects Portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  1. To lead the production of a detailed blueprint for elections and voter registration processes, incorporating information from legislation, guidance, and stakeholder input.
  2. To draft the blueprint in a clear and concise manner, using appropriate software and diagrammatic representations.
  3. To facilitate consultation with key stakeholders, including the business sector and colleagues within the Directorate.
  4. To liaise regularly with the Business Architect, implementing feedback and ensuring the blueprint meets the required standards.
  5. To support the development of target operating models and process maps for potential changes to the existing blueprint, ensuring alignment with the Government's objectives and stakeholder feedback.
  6. To conduct impact assessments of current and potential future processes, identifying and mitigating potential risks and ensuring compliance with equality, diversity, and accessibility principles.

Requirements

  1. Proven ability to lead work independently, with strong initiative and communication skills.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders, including internal colleagues and external partners.
  3. Strong knowledge of elections and electoral registration processes, with the ability to analyze and improve existing processes.
  4. Experience in business analysis, with the ability to think critically and innovatively.
  5. Understanding of equality, diversity, and accessibility principles, with the ability to apply these in a business context.
  6. Proficiency in using software to produce diagrammatic representations and support business process analysis.
