Job Summary:

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Adult Mental Health Team as a Service Manager. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Wandsworth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: As a member of the management team, you will provide motivational leadership and be visibly involved in the office and online, working alongside staff and building relationships with practitioners.
  • Supervision and Development: You will provide regular strengths-based supervision to social care staff, empowering and supporting practitioners to develop their practice, focusing on their skills, celebrating achievements, and making time for reflective discussions.
  • Corporate Values and Equality: You will be able to explain the Corporate values and behaviours to the service and discuss equality, diversity, and inclusion with practitioners, challenging discrimination and raising issues of inequality.
  • Case File Audits and Training: You will undertake regular case file audits, use the outcomes to support the learning and professional development of the service, identify training needs, and ensure they are acted upon.
  • Budget Management and Quality Assurance: You will assist with the management of budgets by ensuring consistent throughput of work and timely completion of work steps, including quality assuring and authorising assessments, support plans, and reviews.
  • Package Management and Risk Assessment: You will monitor the implementation of packages of care and support, adjust them as appropriate, and ensure individual care packages, including funding arrangements, are thoroughly reviewed in accordance with statutory requirements and Council policy.
  • Risk Management and Innovation: You will ensure effective and timely action is taken to assess, record, manage, and reduce risk to the service, people with care and support needs, and their carers and partner organisations, in accordance with Council and partner organisations policies and procedures.
  • Professional Qualification: A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent is required.
