Communications and Engagement Officer – Renewable Energy

Eden Scott is seeking a skilled Communications and Engagement Officer to support their Renewable Energy Developer client in delivering their projects and business strategy. This role represents an excellent opportunity for a public affairs, communications, media relations, or stakeholder management professional to develop their career in the renewable energy sector.

As Communications and Engagement Officer, you will work closely with the client's Communications Manager and Senior Management team to support the delivery of their renewable energy projects and business strategy. Your responsibilities will include providing administrative and operational support on various internal and external communication functions, taking ownership of key streams of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Communications Manager to develop and implement successful communication plans
  • Support the management of the company press office, including proactive and reactive media engagement
  • Create engaging content across various platforms and audiences
  • Manage the company intranet and support internal communication activities
  • Oversee the company's STEM program and school engagement initiatives
  • Engage with external stakeholders and manage the stakeholder management system
  • Support the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategies and activities
  • Assist with the organization and delivery of events, such as trade exhibitions and project public consultations
  • Contribute to the administration of communication activities, including supplier engagement and procurement processes

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in public relations, media relations, or stakeholder engagement
  • Experience working in the infrastructure, manufacturing, construction, or similar industries is preferred
