About the Role

Gallagher Re is seeking a highly skilled Property CAT Analyst to join our team in London. As a key member of our Catastrophe Analytics team, you will play a critical role in helping our clients understand and manage their catastrophe risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and/or contribute to renewal modelling projects on local and global accounts
  • Develop and/or deploy service offerings to clients, alongside our research teams and external academic partners
  • Quantify the catastrophe risk to Gallagher Re client portfolios using vendor catastrophe models and Gallagher Re proprietary models
  • Engage with clients, reinsurers, brokers & actuaries on topics including model interpretation, portfolio management and bespoke analytical projects
  • Contribute to Gallagher Re's wider Catastrophe Analytics services, collaborating with other business units on wider projects, as part of our agile team
  • Understand and evaluate the impact of updates and revisions to models and the outputs produced
  • Contribute to reporting and analysis of natural disasters to support clients post-event
  • Work with colleagues in a variety of locations, including our analytics hub in Mumbai
  • Support junior members in the team through training and advice (senior role only)
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in catastrophe risk analysis and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results. You will have a degree in a numerate or hazard-related subject and experience in the (re)insurance market, with a working knowledge of (re)insurance business and reinsurance structures.
