About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team at LANXESS UK. As an Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the site's environmental performance meets the company's sustainability goals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement environmental management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to identify potential environmental risks and hazards.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for environmental performance and sustainability.
  • Support regulatory returns for UKETS, Climate Change Levy, and ESOS.
  • Develop and maintain the 14001 Management System.
  • Complete internal auditing of environmental management systems.
  • Support the site loss of containment programme.
  • Investigate and document environmental incidents.
  • Evaluate compliance with site secondary and tertiary containment systems.
  • Assist in the implementation of ISO50001 Energy Management System.
  • Support projects to reduce company scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
About You

We are looking for someone with an environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field degree or HND. You will ideally have previous work experience in a similar field and be familiar with environmental management and environmental permit requirements.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple projects.
