Job Summary

Southdown is seeking a skilled Recovery Advisor to join our team. As a Recovery Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing mental health crises to safely manage their wellbeing within the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide brief interventions to help individuals deescalate and manage their emotional distress in the short term
  • Support individuals to identify their needs and connect with appropriate wider networks to aid in their recovery journeys
  • Work collaboratively with the Staying Well management team to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Experience of working with individuals with mental health needs
  • Good understanding of local NHS/Community support services
  • High level of resilience and ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to work until 11pm at night and participate in weekend working on a rotational basis
