Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse/ODP to join our busy operating theatre team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical care to patients, adhering to Trust values and professional regulations.
  • Accept delegated responsibility for specific activities/areas from the senior nurse in charge.
  • Work in line with Trust policies, objectives, protocols, and local guidelines, while promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and staff, ensuring seamless care delivery.
  • Continuously develop and expand nursing skills, staying up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based care.
  • Maintain high standards of professional and ethical responsibility, adhering to medico-legal guidelines and regulations.

Requirements
  • RGN Level 1/RODP qualification.
  • Basic Life Support Course certification.
  • Experience in theatre nursing (desirable).
  • Immediate Life Support Course certification (desirable).
  • Understanding of Clinical Governance principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
