Note: This is a part-time position requiring 18.5 hours per week, with a pro rata salary of up to £14,688 per annum.

The Educator will be tasked with crafting, implementing, and assessing high-quality educational experiences tailored to the specific needs of learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and motivate learners to enhance their skills and achieve their goals.
  • Design and execute effective educational programs for varied groups or individuals in a secure and inclusive setting, adhering to ACL safeguarding protocols.
  • Encourage the use of technology and assist learners in its application.
  • Address learners' needs in mathematics and English, employing innovative strategies to overcome individual learning obstacles.
  • Empower learners to take ownership of their learning and assessment, establishing challenging objectives.
  • Utilize fair assessment methods and provide constructive feedback to facilitate progression and success.
  • Continuously update your teaching and vocational skills, including digital competencies.
  • Contribute to the organization's development and quality enhancement through collaborative efforts.
  • Assess learners' initial capabilities and track their progress, setting ambitious tasks and objectives to expand their learning.
  • Support learners in developing personal, social, and employability skills to enable progression into further education or employment that meets local and national demands.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with adults in health and social care or community settings.
  • Relevant subject qualification or demonstrated expertise in the subject area.
  • Experience in teaching, assessing, or training.
  • Possession of a nationally recognized teaching qualification or willingness to pursue threshold qualifications within the first year of service.
  • Proficient in using digital platforms.
  • Ability to inspire and elevate learners' aspirations through enthusiasm and knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of social and cultural diversity, equality of opportunity, inclusion, and safeguarding principles.
  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and mathematics.
  • Preferably hold a TAQA / A1 / D22 / D23 assessors award.
