Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Cost Manager to join our team. As a Cost Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cost management services to our clients. Your primary objective will be to ensure that our clients' objectives are met through effective cost management.
Key Responsibilities- Commission Management: You will be responsible for managing commissions of varying sizes, from feasibility studies to tendering and procuring.
- Cost Planning and Estimating: You will produce and present cost plans, utilizing relevant cost management tools and services.
- Contract Administration: You will conduct contract administration, including dealing with post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
- Cost Checking and Valuation: You will take personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects.
- Reporting and Negotiation: You will produce monthly post-contract cost reports and negotiate and agree final accounts with clients.
- Client Interface: You will interface with clients, project managers, and other consultants at all project stages.
- Team Leadership: You may be required to lead a cost management team, ensuring they deliver on all accountabilities.
- Professional Qualification: You should be working towards or have full membership of the RICS (MRICS), ACostE, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience: You should have cost management experience within the build construction arena, ideally within property and real estate sectors.
- Skills: You should be an analytical thinker, open to learning from others, and able to work well under pressure.
