Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Reliability Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing work orders, documentation, and assets within our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). They will also be responsible for initial triage of work orders, preparing work packages for planned maintenance activities, and prioritizing work orders in the backlog based on maintenance costs, available resources, and asset criticality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage work orders, documentation, and assets within the CMMS.
  • Responsible for initial triage of work orders, including identification of scope, validity of the work requested, appropriate level of planning required, and assignment of proper codes during work identification, control, and planning phases.
  • Prepare work packages for all planned maintenance activities, incorporating all safety requirements local to the facility and work being performed.
  • Prioritize work orders in the backlog based on maintenance costs, available resources, and asset criticality.
  • Update asset records in the CMMS as required, including entering new equipment, inactivating retired equipment, and labeling equipment in the field with asset tags.
  • Ensure that all job plans written in the CMMS include detailed instructions with pictures, parts, labor, craft, vendors, regulatory, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain bill of materials (BOM) information for every asset within the area of responsibility.
  • Review work order feedback information to improve future planning efforts.
  • Maintain a library of drawings, manuals, and other documents to assist in maintenance repairs or modifications.
  • Support reliability activities such as root cause analysis investigations, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and preventive maintenance optimization (PMO), as well as assist in developing and implementing precision and predictive maintenance routines.
Requirements
  • BS in an Engineering discipline, mechanical or electrical preferred.
  • Formal maintenance planning/scheduling training.
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience implementing RCM, CbM/PdM methods, operating building automation and energy management systems, and thorough understanding of asset management, data analytics, and capital planning approaches.
  • Experience in general facilities and/or critical/regulated environments preferred (data centers, laboratories, manufacturing environments, automotive, petro-chemicals, pharmaceutical, etc.).
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial, critical, manufacturing, labs, or distribution facility types required.
Skills
  • Proven ability to read, comprehend, and apply information from technical manuals and other reference materials.
  • Ability to make informed recommendations in situations where data sets may be incomplete.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to manipulate large amounts of data accurately using different spreadsheet formats.
  • A self-starter with flexible and open-minded approach to working and drive to go "Beyond".
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Level 1 thermography certification is preferred.
  • Level 1 vibration certification is preferred.
  • Level 1 ultrasound certification is preferred.
