As a key member of the finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting stakeholders across the business by providing meaningful analytical support to drive commercial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with a broad range of key business stakeholders to provide analytical support and drive commercial decisions.
- Challenge existing processes and promote best practice to improve profitability.
- Maintain and ensure the integrity of various reports.
- Lead the month-end process and deliver timely reporting to the wider business, including management information and reporting packs.
- Support the business across various projects as required.
- Provide finance support and coaching to stakeholders on financial drivers to improve performance.
- Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecast process, ensuring risks, opportunities, and key actions are well communicated and understood by stakeholders.
- Challenge assumptions and set targets that drive performance in line with strategy.
- Prepare financials and scenario modeling to support business plans.
- Provide lead finance support during major client tenders.
- Complete monthly MI reporting and financial commentary in a timely manner.
- Build professional and effective relationships across the business and become a trusted advisor to influence better business decisions.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent) with previous experience in a commercial finance role. They will have strong commercial awareness and experience of business partnering in a cross-functional environment. The candidate will have a proven track record of building relationships across the business, with well-developed communication, negotiating, influencing, and listening skills. They will also have advanced Excel skills with experience of scenario modeling and manipulating large data sets.
