Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will serve as the Security Subject Matter Expert (SME), tasked with delivering robust security solutions across various initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization's risk management strategies, standards, and compliance obligations. Reporting directly to the Lead Security Architect, you will provide expert insights and support the execution of the IT security framework while collaborating closely with senior management, including Information Security teams. A strong technical background is essential, as you will be responsible for designing intricate security solutions across both physical and virtual environments, guiding Development and Operations teams to integrate Security Architecture into their workflows, such as DevSecOps. Familiarity with Security best practices, including Zero Trust principles, is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement security solutions for IT infrastructure projects, encompassing all phases from requirements analysis to both high-level and detailed design, ensuring adherence to established standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Your architectural responsibilities will include:
  • Formulating strategies, roadmaps, and standards.
  • Evaluating new security capabilities through market analysis.
  • Providing security consultancy for major projects.
  • Creating business cases to support ongoing security enhancements.
  • Assisting the Lead Security Architect in developing and executing the IT security strategy and services.
  • Offering expert guidance to colleagues and business units on implementing secure solutions in accordance with technical governance protocols, policies, and standards.
  • Assessing risk and compliance for extensive solutions, particularly in environments with over 5000 endpoints, and deploying security infrastructure solutions such as SIEM, Access Governance, SASE, and Endpoint Protection.
  • Complying with information security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ISF, NIST), industry security guidelines (OWASP & CIS), and risk assessment frameworks to ensure systems and services meet security mandates.
  • Identifying and evaluating business and technical security requirements, associated risks, and potential vulnerabilities, implementing controls to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Reviewing vulnerability and penetration testing reports, providing recommendations for corrective actions.

Qualifications and Skills:

Essential:

  • Proven track record in delivering large-scale solutions within a security architecture capacity.
  • Experience in an Azure cloud security environment.
  • Understanding of the Zero Trust Framework.
  • Expertise in defining and implementing:
  • Architectures based on the Zero Trust framework (Identity Management, MFA, Endpoint Protection, etc.).
  • Architectures and services based on Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) (Data Loss Prevention, SD-WAN, Network Segregation, etc.).
  • Technical proficiency across a diverse range of solutions, including:
  • Secure internet access
  • Threat, Vulnerability & Patch Management
  • Privileged Access Management
  • Network Segregation
  • Security Monitoring
  • Antivirus
  • Data Loss Prevention
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships at senior levels within an organization.
  • Capability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment, making informed decisions in critical situations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Possession of relevant certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or equivalent.
