Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Architect to join our team at Yorkshire Water. The successful candidate will possess excellent knowledge of cloud technologies from both a hardware and software perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using multiple cloud platforms such as MS Azure, AWS, GCP, and SAP BTP.
  • Integrate multiple cloud platforms across both public and private cloud instances.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions.
  • Develop and maintain architectural designs, technical documentation, and standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in using structured architecture models (e.g. TOGAF).
  • Deep understanding of AI algorithms, data engineering, and the Azure cloud computing platform.
  • Solid knowledge of Azure services and tools related to AI (e.g. Azure Machine Learning, Azure Databricks, Azure Cognitive Services, and Azure Bot Service).
  • Architectural experience across multiple cloud platforms (e.g. MS Azure, AWS, GCP, SAP BTP).
  • Experience of working with public, private, and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Experience of key cloud management principles and tools.
  • Detailed architectural knowledge covering core cloud platform subjects (e.g. cloud compute, virtualization, elastic computing, cloud storage, machine learning, virtual networking, availability zones, scale up vs scale out, scripting and automation, Ansible/DevOps).
  • Experience of IaaS (including networking, monitoring, and data recovery aspects), PaaS/Serverless Computing, and SaaS.
  • Experience of cloud network design.
  • Experience of cloud security principles and cloud adoption frameworks.
  • Experience of SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) architecture.
  • Cloud architecture certification.
