We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our Industrial Equipment Mechanics Team at RAF Lakenheath. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various water and wastewater treatment systems to meet both UK and US standards and Environment Agency regulations.
Main Responsibilities- Manage potable and non-potable water treatment systems
- Diagnose and fix complex issues
- Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and procedures
- Utilise measuring instruments
- Interpret diagrams, drawings, and manuals
- Perform routine maintenance
We are looking for a candidate with technical expertise in operational repairs and preventive maintenance of wastewater treatment equipment, with a strong focus on safety regulations and practices. You will have proficient analytical skills, experience of using various measuring instruments to determine system status, and an interpretive ability to understand detailed diagrams and technical manuals.
Essential qualifications include City and Guilds/NVQ Level 2 in an appropriate discipline, a valid Category B driver's licence, and the ability to undertake a pre-employment physical (including immunisations) for this role as there may be occasional exposure to communicable disease or infectious matter when changing filters.
All successful applicants will require a security clearance and a right to work in the UK.
