About the Role

Vanderlande, a leading provider of innovative solutions for the logistics and airport industries, is seeking a highly skilled Project Planning Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in planning and delivering complex projects, working closely with project managers, teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate project scope into an overall project plan, often with minimal input from others.
  • Identify critical path in a project plan and corresponding opportunities and risks.
  • Coordinate project plan with customer and subcontractors to achieve an integrated project plan.
  • Liaise with internal and external parties involved in a project.
  • Report on project progress to relevant Project Manager.
  • Analyze and provide solicited and unsolicited advice on overall project plans.
  • Prepare complex plans in consultation with project team members, subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
  • Lead on complex projects, building programs from scratch, and have strong experience in project planning.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a project organization.
  • Minimum 7+ years planning experience, with at least 3 years in a senior planning role.
  • Expert Primavera 6 knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise at different levels.
  • Ability to lead planning function on complex projects.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and set priorities.
  • Excellent understanding of NEC process.
  • Understanding of technical planning techniques such as cost loading, critical path analysis.
  • Experience throughout project life cycle (tender to completion).
