About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional SEN Teacher to join our outstanding school in Barking and Dagenham, specialising in educating students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. We cater for children aged 4-18 years that have Special Educational Needs, such as ASD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.

We ensure to promote independence of our pupils so they can thrive within the community and become resilient, respectful and accomplished.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to the needs of KS2 students with ASD.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each student.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to provide regular updates on student progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that celebrates the achievements of all students.
