E3 Recruitment presents an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Estimator specializing in Highways to join a prominent national firm with an extensive network of operations throughout the country, specifically within its Yorkshire Commercial Team.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Estimator:
- Negotiating and securing work contracts
- Building and nurturing effective relationships with both new and existing clients, collaborating as part of a cohesive team
- Overseeing the preparation and submission of all pricing documentation for the contracting division while ensuring adherence to internal review protocols
- Identifying and developing new business prospects, ensuring high-quality, competitive tenders are submitted, and key contracts are successfully acquired, considering business capacity, margins, and associated risks
- Conducting pre-contract commercial assessments to pinpoint opportunities and risks in prospective contracts
- Performing detailed evaluations of subcontractor and supplier bids for inclusion in tenders and generating tender handover reports for the operations team
- Formulating and influencing bidding strategies while analyzing market trends and data to enhance bid success
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability standards.
Qualifications and Experience Required for the Senior Estimator Role:
- Technical operational knowledge, preferably within the highways sector
- Experience in pricing various tenders, including those for local authorities and large-scale projects
- Proven ability to cultivate relationships with stakeholders at all levels to secure work and improve profitability
- Strong commercial insight and the capability to meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated sales expertise and successful negotiation skills
- Familiarity with NEC 3 and 4 forms of contract
- Experience with Causeway 3 Estimating software is advantageous.
