About the Role

Cundall is seeking a highly skilled Public Health Engineer to join our Birmingham office as part of a growing Public Health Engineering team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Public Health elements of projects from client specification through to completion, working collaboratively with colleagues in other disciplines.

Key responsibilities include designing and coordinating PH systems in various types of buildings, participating in project meetings, and supervising and developing junior team members.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a range of industry sectors, including commercial, new build, refurbishment, critical systems, healthcare, education, luxury hotel, and high-value residential projects.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of sustainable design principles, specifically water conservation, low-energy building services design, and the design path towards Net Zero Carbon.

Cundall is a consultancy that delivers award-winning innovative design solutions with minimal environmental impact. We are looking for a talented Public Health Engineer who is passionate about sustainable design and has the skills to lead the PH design team.

Requirements

Accredited with a BEng or MEng degree (or equivalent), the ideal candidate will have a keen interest in furthering their expertise and be actively working towards Chartership Status or hold Chartership with a relevant institution.

Experience in the production and oversight of design for sanitation systems, rainwater, drainage, domestic water services, and associated public health systems above ground is essential.

Proficiency in Revit and the ability to review and manipulate 3D models using Google Glue, Navis Works, and Revit are also required.

The successful candidate will be a confident and credible relationship builder, able to manage and exceed client expectations, and have experience of managing and mentoring more junior engineers.
