The Bridge Ltd is in search of a Project Telecom Technician to facilitate the execution of a significant telephony transformation initiative. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective delivery of technical components within the project, adhering to established constraints regarding scope, quality, timeline, and budget. The focus is on driving the technical evolution to realize the benefits outlined in the project's investment case.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of various technical telecom modifications within the telephony transformation initiative.
  • Utilize established methodologies and uphold project delivery standards.
  • Prepare for engagement assessments and quality assurance procedures.
  • Mitigate risks and exposure throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all project documentation is comprehensive, up-to-date, and securely stored.
  • Deliver technical modifications within the designated budget.
  • Effectively communicate progress with the project team, portfolio board, and project sponsor.
  • Identify areas for enhancement and provide constructive recommendations for change.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in executing Technical Telecom modifications, including but not limited to:
  • Installation of telephony systems and structured cabling.
  • Fault resolution in office settings and substations.
  • Transitioning analogue landline phones to digital systems.
  • Router upgrades.
  • Installation and testing of wireless networks.
  • Coordination with third-party access providers.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven capability to engage and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Highly self-driven with a strong results-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management and financial planning.
  • Proficiency in project planning and execution.

Nature of the Role:
This position involves the delivery of multiple small to medium-sized telecom modifications within the broader telephony transformation initiative. The technician will be accountable for the effective implementation of technical changes and managing interdependencies with various business units, necessitating significant stakeholder engagement.
