About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Project Delivery Engineer to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our Asset & Engineering Directorate, you will play a critical role in delivering engineering projects that meet the needs of our customers and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage cost, schedule, and resource estimates for technical solution development.
  • Plan and deliver engineering projects efficiently, leveraging in-house or outsourced teams as needed.
  • Ensure robust change controls are applied throughout the engineering delivery process.
  • Drive compliance with contractual requirements of engineering framework agreements.
  • Meet commercial, technical, and regulatory compliance requirements for engineering activities.
  • Assess and continuously improve Thames Water's engineering business processes.
  • Lead excellence in Engineering Delivery for Thames Water.
  • Provide technical input into Project Needs to ensure clarity on project objectives.
  • Support the establishment of a commercially astute Engineering Centre of Excellence.
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent with professional charters in an engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of managing cost centers or project budgets.
  • Background in leadership, collaboration, and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment to achieve compliance with our regulatory requirements.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary from £66,000 - £72,000 per annum.
  • Car allowance of £5,800.
  • 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with length of service (plus bank holidays).
