About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced External Sales Representative to join our team at GCS Associates. As an External Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with existing customers, as well as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the construction supplies and building materials sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and grow revenue
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing exceptional customer service
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting and developing new leads
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and operations, to ensure alignment and effective communication
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity, providing insights and recommendations to the sales team
Requirements
  • Proven sales experience in the construction supplies and building materials sector, preferably with a builders merchants background
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Results-driven and target-oriented, with a strong focus on achieving sales targets and growing revenue
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
