About the Role

The Assistant Branch Manager is a challenging yet rewarding position in our business, where you will support your Branch Manager and play a vital role in our continued success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Branch Manager in managing all aspects of a Branch and business, including sales, operations, and customer service.
  • Coach a team to deliver the highest standards of service and ensure that all colleagues and customers leave the Branch safely.
  • Nurture great relationships with customers, understanding their needs and offering expert advice to maximise sales of goods.
  • Support the Branch Manager in managing the Branch's commercial performance and identifying opportunities for growth.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a builders' merchant or a similar industry is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Transferable skills of Inspirational Leadership, Operational Management, Sales, Great Customer Service, and Commercial Acumen are essential.
  • Able to delegate successfully and empower colleagues to take accountability and lead areas of the branch.
  • Highly adaptable, resilient, and tenacious with high levels of energy and drive.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with an entrepreneurial spirit.
