Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled professional to take on the role of Cyber Security Engineer focused on Industrial Control Systems. This position involves significant responsibilities in ensuring the integrity and security of network architectures within our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams as a network architecture and cyber security engineer, both remotely and at operational sites.
- Conduct thorough network architecture and cyber security evaluations, including product setup, integration testing, and resolving complex issues.
- Develop comprehensive asset inventories detailing software and firmware for Cyber security assessments.
- Deliver documentation that specifies network and system requirements to address cybersecurity risks and implement necessary security controls.
- Create technical documentation such as configuration guides, requirements traceability, test plans, and user manuals.
- Engage in knowledge sharing with clients and stakeholders through presentations, technical training, and collaborative sessions.
- Identify and support the development of new business opportunities, contributing to project proposals and technical descriptions.
- Interpret cyber security policies and assist in creating supporting procedures.
- Manage system administration, network configurations, and virtual environments, demonstrating expertise in Windows Server and client systems.
- Participate in strategic planning for control systems, emphasizing security measures for the Ovation control system.
- Implement network security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Be prepared for occasional travel to oversee system installations and commissioning efforts.
Educational Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Computer), Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Must be eligible for 10 CFR 73.56 Trustworthy and Reliable clearance.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in engineering, administration, and security within IT/OT environments is required; 8-10 years is preferred.
- Proven experience in requirements management or conducting security audits and assessments.
- Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, and DCS platforms, particularly Emerson Ovation.
- Experience in industrial Operational Technology settings is essential.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and techniques.
- Knowledge in network design, Windows Domain configurations, and security policies.
- Familiarity with security control frameworks such as NIST 800-53 and ISO 27002.
- High proficiency in troubleshooting system integration challenges and working with cyber security and virtualization technologies.
- Experience in industrial environments or with industrial control systems is advantageous.
Certifications:
Preferred certifications include:
- GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) or equivalent.
- GIAC Systems and Network Auditor (GSNA) or ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Security Certification (CCNP).
- ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Other relevant technical certifications from recognized organizations.
Skills & Expertise:
Proficiency in commissioning testing, cybersecurity, detailed engineering, information system security, instrumentation controls, and network security.
