Job Title: Head of Category

Are you a seasoned procurement professional looking for a new challenge? Do you have a passion for delivering high-quality client service and driving business growth?

We are seeking an experienced Head of Category to join our team at Shared Services Connected Ltd. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and delivery of our Health category team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy to drive efficiency, consistency, and quality.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and suppliers to deliver exceptional service and value.
  • Lead a team of procurement professionals to deliver high standards of performance and collaboration.
  • Support the development of commercial strategies to drive business growth and savings.
  • Manage complexity and risk through the implementation of best-in-class procurement processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to clients and stakeholders, providing guidance and support on procurement matters.
Requirements:
  • CIPS Level 6 Diploma in Procurement and Supply.
  • Experience of operating within a Public Sector Buying organisation environment.
  • Working background with the NHS and/or Public Sector.
  • Sound understanding of UK Public Contracts Regulations, The Procurement Act, and Provider Selection Regime.
  • Experience of the Health market and its supply chains.
  • Leadership background.
