Overview: Ageas UK is thrilled to present an opportunity for a Lead Radar Developer to become an integral part of our Pricing team. This role is pivotal in managing and implementing pricing models and underwriting protocols, which are essential for achieving our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, validate, and enhance Radar Live models for Risk and Market Pricing.
  • Facilitate the integration of models prior to deployment.
  • Oversee XML modifications within the model framework.
  • Develop and implement Percayso quote manipulation rules.
  • Address Radar defects originating from various business areas.
  • Manage updates related to Radar versions and licenses.
  • Maintain specifications for enrichment capstone.
  • Conduct impact assessments for business as usual, standard, and project changes.
  • Own and update Pricing Product Specification documents.
  • Ensure the accuracy of rates and rules for Private Car, Commercial Vehicle, Motorcycle, and Household on internal systems.
  • Mentor and guide junior Implementation Analysts.
  • Innovate solutions to challenges and continuously enhance processes.
  • Develop and refine best practices and standards for the team.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, engaging effectively in both technical and non-technical discussions.
  • Collaborate closely with Product teams to ensure shared understanding of product objectives.
  • Act as a deputy for the Pricing Implementation Manager when required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A-level education or equivalent in numerical disciplines.
  • Background in insurance pricing, underwriting, or product development.
  • Proficient user of Radar and Radar Live.
  • Demonstrated ability to devise solutions for business challenges.
  • Strong understanding of messaging structures and their interaction with Ageas platforms.
  • Effective coaching skills for junior staff development.
  • Experience in influencing colleagues at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to comprehend complex rating structures and propose efficient solutions.
  • Self-driven with the capability to work independently.
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational abilities.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality pricing projects.
  • Foster high engagement levels among direct reports.
  • Contribute significant value to the organization.
  • Maintain contextual awareness of customer, regulatory, business, and competitive factors.
  • Proficient in building radar models and conducting investigative tasks.
