About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Pets at Home Group Plc. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our store, including managing stock, leading a team of retail staff, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the store, including stock control, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
  • Lead and motivate a team of retail staff to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve store performance, including sales growth, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with the store manager to achieve business objectives and implement company-wide initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of supervisory/management experience in a retail environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering high standards and great results.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
