Truro, Cornwall, United Kingdom Best Practice Network Full time
About Us

At Best Practice Network, we believe that every child deserves an excellent education, regardless of their background. We support and train educational professionals to be the best they can be, so they can transform the lives of children and young people.

We're a friendly, DfE-accredited, Ofsted-outstanding training company providing apprenticeships, professional development, and the DfE's 'Golden Thread' (trainee teachers to school Executive Leaders). We're adaptable, collaborative, and genuinely value the work we do to support the education sector, as much as our trainees do.

About the Role

This post will involve holistically planning, coordinating, mentoring, and supporting training and assessment for apprentices based in the Early Years Education sector from level 2 to level 5 and the Teaching Assistant role. Knowledge and experience from working in the Early Years and or Schools sector will be shared with apprentices to ensure they achieve their programme at the highest possible level and in a timely fashion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment: Conduct skills reviews with apprentices and employers to identify gaps, develop and implement individualized training plans, maintain candidate records, and perform workplace observations.
  • Training: Create tailored action plans for candidates, deliver workplace training covering Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours, support English and Maths training, and provide tutorial support on Prevent, British Values, Personal Development, Behaviour, Welfare, Safeguarding, and additional learning needs.
  • Coordination and Support: Monitor candidate progress, support portfolio completion and assessments, record and report on Additional Learning Support (ALS), provide apprenticeship program information to employers and employees, and collaborate with line managers for reviews and appraisals.
  • Administration: Complete documentation for signing up new candidates and tracking their progress, maintain records of candidate progress against targets, document employer visits, candidate reviews, assessment visits, and other appointments, and ensure timely student achievement and complete necessary Gateway and End Point Assessment documentation.
About You

We're looking for someone who shares our values of student-centredness, equality of opportunity, and parity of esteem for staff and students. The successful candidate will be passionate and excited about learning, inclusive and supportive, responsive to student, employer, and community needs, always aspiring to the highest standards, professional and enterprising, innovative and creative, and friendly and welcoming.
