Job Summary

The Fire and Rescue Service in Nottinghamshire is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as their new Head of Digital. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled individual to lead the development and implementation of digital technologies and strategies to support the service's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Digital Transformation: Oversee the development and implementation of digital technologies and strategies to enhance the service's operations and improve the delivery of services to the community.
  • ICT Service Delivery: Ensure the efficient delivery of ICT services, including the management of the service desk, staff training and development, and the maintenance of stable and secure ICT infrastructure.
  • ICT Governance and Control: Oversee the governance and control of ICT project management, including the management of budgets, the negotiation of commercial contracts, and the maintenance of critical ICT infrastructure.
  • Information Security: Monitor legislative and regulatory changes in ICT and information security, and advise on implications for the service.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of ICT professionals, including staff recruitment, management, and development.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience in managing all aspects of a technically diverse ICT function, including staff recruitment, management, and development.
  • Skills: Skilled in delivering complex ICT transformation programs, developing and implementing ICT policies and procedures, and managing ICT budgets.
  • Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of current IT-related legislation, security policies, and current developments in the ICT field.
