Data Centre Security Officer Job Description

ICTS Europe is seeking a reliable and technology-savvy Security Officer to ensure the security and safety of premises and people at our Data Centre sites in the Slough area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage access control for buildings and car-parks, ensuring secure entry and exit for employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Conduct regular patrols of buildings, car parks, and grounds to deter and detect potential security threats.
  • Verify and challenge ID passes with a professional and friendly approach.
  • Activate and deactivate alarms, unlock and lock buildings, rooms, external barriers, and gates to maintain site security.
  • Monitor fire, security, and building systems, including CCTV, to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Identify and report Health & Safety issues and provide first aid if necessary.
  • Respond to customer requests and queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and events using computer- and paper-based systems.
Requirements:
  • Hold a valid SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security.
  • Five years' checkable history and references.
  • Pass a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) (CCTV) licence.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Experience in a similar role.

Full training, uniform, and health and safety equipment (PPE) are provided.
