Job Title: Data Centre Security Officer

We are seeking a reliable and technology-savvy Security Officer to ensure the security and safety of our Data Centre client's premises and people in the Slough and Uxbridge area.

Job Summary:

This is a challenging role that requires a professional and friendly approach to managing access control, patrolling buildings and grounds, and monitoring security systems. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage access control for buildings and car parks, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access.
  • Patrol buildings, car parks, and grounds to deter and detect potential security threats.
  • Check and challenge ID passes with a professional and friendly approach.
  • Monitor and respond to security alarms, and unlock and lock buildings, rooms, external barriers, and gates as necessary.
  • Monitor fire, security, and building systems, including CCTV.
  • Identify and report Health & Safety issues, and provide first aid if necessary.
  • Respond to customer requests and queries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and activities using computer- and paper-based systems.
Requirements:
  • SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license is essential.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security.
  • Five years' checkable history and references.
  • Pass a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) (CCTV) license.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Experience in a similar role.
