Position: Quality Assurance Engineer
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be integral to the Governance, Risk, Compliance & Quality team at UK Power Networks. This role is essential for ensuring adherence to quality standards within our electrical infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert quality management guidance regarding ISO 9001:2015 to various stakeholders including advisors, managers, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Participate in the evaluation and creation of new operational procedures, ensuring alignment with both central and project-specific requirements.
3. Conduct regular compliance checks against ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant standards, planning and executing audits to identify areas for improvement.
4. Collaborate with Project Managers to review quality-related documentation and develop training materials to enhance team understanding of quality management systems.
5. Oversee the performance of suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring their outputs meet our quality expectations through audits and inspections.
6. Ensure that all materials and equipment meet certification standards, maintaining accurate project records for compliance.
7. Facilitate third-party audits and champion quality management processes within the organization to uphold certification standards.

Qualifications:
Essential:
- Minimum HNC qualification in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Practitioner membership of the Chartered Quality Institute, with support for achieving Chartered status.
- Experience in quality management systems within the construction industry.
- Trained QMS Auditor with proficiency in ISO 9001:2015 auditing.
- Ability to obtain necessary access passes for various UK industries.
- Valid UK driving license.
Desirable:
- Flexibility in work approach and prioritization based on project needs.
- Knowledge of additional ISO standards such as ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
- Strong communication and planning skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
