Position Overview

Dnevo Partners is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Financial Crime Analyst. This role is pivotal in supporting the Financial Crime Manager and the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in safeguarding our organization against financial misconduct.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance and Risk Management

Assist the Financial Crime Manager and MLRO in ensuring adherence to Anti Money Laundering (AML) regulations.

Oversee and evaluate referrals made to the Financial Crime team concerning potential money laundering activities, as well as manage legal inquiries from law enforcement and governmental bodies.

Maintain an up-to-date understanding of AML regulations and best practices.

Act as the primary contact for inquiries related to financial transactions and money laundering concerns.

Monitor suspicious activity alerts and referrals, analyzing data to identify potential money laundering incidents.

Provide recommendations on AML issues, escalating to the Financial Crime Manager when necessary.

Support the ongoing assessment of high-risk clients, including Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and other significant alerts.

Conduct ad hoc compliance tasks as required.

Prepare and submit reports to the National Crime Agency (NCA) when applicable.

Draft witness statements as needed.

Collaborate with Compliance Advisory, Compliance Monitoring, and Legal teams to ensure consistent regulatory compliance.

Work closely with various departments to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and effective management of high-risk clients.

Assist in delivering training related to Anti Money Laundering practices.

Stay informed about relevant regulatory changes and proactively communicate potential risks to management.

Maintain accurate records of activities and advice provided to the business, ensuring an efficient filing system for regulatory compliance.

Ensure that all responsibilities regarding customer treatment and prevention of financial crime are executed in line with internal policies.

Identify weaknesses in existing procedures and propose enhancements.

Customer and Relationship Management

Engage with the NCA and other law enforcement agencies to uphold compliance standards.

Foster effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders.

Facilitate intra-group collaboration to promote best practices and operational excellence.

Process Management

Manage and monitor Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and all inquiries from law enforcement, ensuring appropriate follow-up on disclosures.

Review potential PEP, sanction, and other significant matches, referring confirmed cases to the Financial Crime Manager, and maintain a register of identified PEPs based on risk assessments.

Handle and report on Data Protection Act (DPA) responsibilities related to Subject Access Requests.

Support the ongoing training and development of the team through mentorship and guidance.

Review and update current AML policies and procedures to reflect best practices.

Additional Responsibilities

Contribute innovative ideas for process improvements.

Develop and sustain strong working relationships with key internal colleagues.

Uphold integrity and demonstrate a commitment to fair customer treatment at all times.

Perform any other duties as required within the scope of the role.

Core Skills & Knowledge

Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to the role (mandatory).

Commitment to acting with integrity and promoting fair treatment of customers (mandatory).

Qualifications

ICA or equivalent certification in Anti Money Laundering.

Prior experience in an Anti Money Laundering role is essential.
