Job Description

**Job Title:** Planning Coordinator - Production Scheduling Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Coordinator - Production Scheduling Specialist to join our team at Safran UK. As a key member of our production planning team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Internal Planning:** Analyze demand and capacity to achieve optimum work centre load.
  • **Production Monitoring:** Monitor production adherence against plan and work closely with the Operations team to ensure alignment and execution of plan.
  • **Continuous Improvement:** Take ownership and drive continuous improvement of internal KPIs, understanding any deviations.
  • **Recovery Planning:** Drive and develop recovery plans within the internal Operational Team where appropriate.
  • **ERP Planning Parameters:** Own and manage ERP planning parameters.
  • **MPS/MRP Demand:** Confirm MPS/MRP demand in line with Business System.
  • **Production Coordination:** Coordinate the inputs to Production and monitor production progress against scheduling, intervening as required to bring deliveries back in line with schedule.
  • **Supply Chain Management:** Work with Supply Chain on anticipated material availability concerns and ensure internal suppliers maintain continuity of supply.
  • **Inventory Management:** Monitor and maintain inventory WIP levels on the shop floor to ensure alignment with demand.
  • **Annual Stock Take:** Participate in annual Company stock take activities by validating material variances.
  • **Lean Projects:** Actively participate in One Safran/CI/Lean projects.
  • **NPI Introduction:** Be involved in planning the introduction of new products (NPI), participating in cross-functional meetings.
  • **CCB Meetings:** Attend weekly CCB meetings to determine the impact to Production and action stock dispositions within the Business system, taking into consideration cost implications of rework and resources, while ensuring MRP demand is accurate.

**Requirements:**

  • **MRP Knowledge:** Good understanding of MRP and knowledge of principles.
  • **Production Scheduling Experience:** Experience in Production Scheduling role, within a Manufacturing environment.
  • **ERP Software:** Experience of using ERP software.
  • **Flexibility:** Flexible.
  • **Planning and Organizational Skills:** Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • **Attention to Detail:** Attention to detail.
  • **IT Skills:** Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (ability to manage and manipulate high volumes of data in a digestible format for presentations).
  • **Interpersonal Skills:** Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • **Autonomy:** Ability to work unsupervised.
  • **Travel:** Ability and flexibility to travel to other Safran Sites.
