Job Description

Safran Seats, a leading manufacturer of premium seating and technology, is seeking a skilled Production Controller to join their team. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely provision of relevant paperwork and managing shortages to provide full visibility to both production and logistics of manufacturing and kitting needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Internal planning by work centre, analysing demand and capacity to achieve optimum work centre load
  • Monitoring production adherence against plan, working closely with Operations team to ensure alignment and execution of plan
  • Driving continuous improvement of internal KPI's, understanding any deviations
  • Developing recovery plans within the internal Operational Team where appropriate
  • Managing ERP planning parameters
  • Confirming MPS/MRP demand in line with Business System
  • Coordinating inputs to Production, monitoring production progress against scheduling and intervening as required to bring deliveries back in line with schedule
  • Working with Supply Chain on anticipated material availability concerns and ensuring internal suppliers maintain continuity of supply
  • Investigating MPS/MRP anomalies, ascertaining root cause and implementing corrective actions
  • Maintaining inventory WIP levels on shop floor to ensure alignment with demand
  • Participating in annual Company stock take activities by validating material variances
  • Actively participating in One Safran/CI/Lean projects
  • Participating in cross-functional meetings for planning introduction of new products (NPI)
  • Attending weekly CCB meetings to determine the impact to Production and actioning stock dispositions within the Business system
Requirements:

This role requires a strong understanding of production planning and control, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of driving continuous improvement and delivering results in a fast-paced production environment.
