Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist - Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a key role in providing specialist care, advice, and support to patients undergoing surgery or treatments for pelvic floor disorders.

About the Role:
  • Implement and evaluate care pathways for patients undergoing conservative and surgical treatments, under the supervision of the Lead CNS Pelvic Floor.
  • Attend bi-monthly SNM theatre sessions as support for the CNS Band 7 during the insertion of SNM devices and initial post-operative programming.
  • Liaise with outside agencies and representatives from medical equipment suppliers.
  • Liaise with secretarial staff as an advocate for patients.
  • Prepare and conduct nurse-led follow-up clinics, both face-to-face and telephone, for all conservative treatments.
  • Act as a resource for specialist knowledge for clinical staff on wards and other departments.
  • Work autonomously but also in collaboration with other members of the wider MDT.
  • Retrieve and reply to telephone messages from the problem-solving help line.
  • Liaise with and be an active member of the Pelvic Floor MDT.
  • Attend and participate in bi-monthly MDT meetings.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years registration.
  • Able to work autonomously and be accountable for own actions.
