Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Planning / Estimating: Develop and implement cost planning strategies to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
- Pre-contract estimating of UFH systems: Conduct thorough estimates of underfloor heating systems to ensure accurate pricing.
- Budget control: Monitor and control project budgets to prevent cost overruns.
- Procurement advice: Provide expert advice on procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure favorable terms.
- Tender support: Assist in the tendering process to ensure accurate pricing and project feasibility.
- Post contract cost control: Monitor and control project costs after contract award to ensure compliance with budget.
- Valuations/Applications: Conduct valuations and applications to ensure accurate payment to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Final Accounts: Prepare final accounts to ensure accurate financial closure of projects.
- Researching the cost of items: Conduct research to determine the cost of materials, transport, labor, and equipment.
- Analysing data: Analyze data to identify trends and patterns that can affect costs.
- Monitor costs: Monitor costs at different stages of a project to ensure it stays within estimated costs.
- Create and manage cost value reconciliation processes: Develop and implement cost value reconciliation processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Identifying and mitigating risks: Identify and mitigate risks that can affect project costs.
- Manage retentions: Manage retentions to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
Key Tasks:
- Manage quantity surveying activities: Manage quantity surveying activities across multiple projects to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates: Prepare accurate cost estimates, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
- Monitor project budgets: Monitor project budgets and track expenses to ensure that costs are kept within budgetary constraints.
