About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Specialist Children's Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical services to adults with mental health and dementia diagnoses in our acute inpatient services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex caseload of adults with dysphagia and communication needs, providing assessments, interventions, training, and support to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary risk assessments and care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Develop and deliver training packages for communication and dysphagia, promoting best practice and improving patient care.
  • Support and cover the duty rota, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Travel between wards, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
Requirements
  • Qualified and experienced Speech and Language Therapist, with at least 5 years post-graduate experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work from home and travel between wards.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality patient care, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
