Job Summary

Pertemps Scotland is seeking a skilled Electrical Fitter and Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Fitter and Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for performing electrical installations, PAT testing, and maintaining forging presses, furnaces, and machine tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Maintenance: Work on both planned and reactive maintenance schedules within the plant, ensuring all electrical systems are functioning correctly.
  • Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Repair and maintain forging presses, furnaces, and machine tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Electrical Installations: Perform electrical installations, including wiring and circuitry work.
  • PAT Testing: Conduct PAT testing to ensure all electrical equipment is safe to use.
  • Teamwork: Work as part of a skilled team to achieve maintenance goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prior industry experience in electrical maintenance, covering medium voltage distribution systems, equipment breakdowns, trouble shooting, and working with inspection and maintenance programs to meet statutory requirements.
  • Skills: Self-motivated, ability to manage a varied and demanding workload, fault finding, reading technical drawings, working at heights and in enclosed spaces, basic IT skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
