Job Title: Fundraiser/Development Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fundraiser/Development Officer to join our team at Church Urban Fund. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating campaigns, direct marketing appeals, and supporter communications to maximize individual and church giving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate campaigns and direct marketing appeals to maximize individual and church giving
  • Develop and implement supporter engagement strategies to build strong relationships with donors
  • Work closely with the Comms team to ensure integrated supporter experiences
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance and outcomes using Salesforce CRM
  • Prepare and monitor fundraising strategic and operational plans
  • Source case studies and stories for fundraising propositions
  • Maintain GDPR and Fundraising Regulation compliance
  • Act as the first escalation point for fundraising complaints or enquiries
  • Support colleagues and carry out tasks to ensure efficient department running

Requirements:

  • Passion for supporter-centric fundraising and building relationships
  • Proven success in delivering individual supporter fundraising programs
  • Exceptional project management skills and use of planning tools
  • Strong mass communication skills in on- and offline environments
  • Good knowledge of CRM databases and social media channels
  • Ability to work creatively, flexibly, and professionally in a small team

Desirable Experience:

  • UK social action and community-led development experience, ideally in a faith environment
  • Acquisition and development experience
  • Cross-organisational influencing for fundraising
  • Personal experience of writing impactful multi-channel fundraising appeals or campaigns
  • Experience with Salesforce, Mailchimp, and compliance with GDPR and FR Regulations

What We Offer:

  • Permanent contract
  • 35 hours per week (flexible working arrangements considered)
  • £32,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
  • 22 days + 3 CUF discretionary days + Bank Holidays per annum
