The Role

As a key member of our Hartford Care team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our residential care settings. This will involve supervising and managing a team of housekeeping staff, as well as working closely with other departments to create a safe and welcoming environment for our residents.

Whether you are conducting a deep clean of a resident's room, leading a team of staff on a cleaning task, or completing an infection control audit, you will do so with a focus on delivering exceptional care and service. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards will be essential in ensuring that our residents receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of housekeeping staff to ensure that all areas of the care home are clean and tidy at all times.
  • Supervise and manage the cleaning schedule to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Work closely with other departments to identify and address any cleaning or hygiene issues.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure that our cleaning and hygiene procedures are being followed.
  • Develop and implement new cleaning and hygiene procedures as needed.

Requirements:

  • A compassionate and caring nature.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to use IT systems.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills.
  • A good attention to detail and desire to ensure standards are the highest possible.
  • Good understanding of health and safety as well as infection control and COSHH procedures.
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • A flexible approach to working hours.

This position is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
