Job Title: Transport Manager

We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead our logistics team in Stowmarket. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a fleet of 60 vehicles, with a team of 3 planners reporting to them.

The company has ambitious plans to expand its fleet to over 100 vehicles within the next two years, and we are looking for someone to spearhead this project.

The Transport Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of the logistics department, including route planning, driver management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a fleet of 60 vehicles
  • Lead a team of 3 planners
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HGV driving and CPC
  • Manage driver performance and conduct regular reviews

Requirements:

  • Experience in transport management, preferably with a fleet of 60 vehicles
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Clean driving license and CPC
