About the Role
As a Principal Contracts Specialist, you'll play a vital role in driving Raytheon Technologies' success by ensuring seamless contractual execution across our diverse projects. You'll be a trusted advisor to bid and project teams, providing expert guidance on all aspects of contract management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive contractual and commercial support throughout the entire bid lifecycle, from proposal development to negotiation and issuance.
- Identify and assess potential commercial risks, contributing to the overall risk mitigation strategy.
- Lead contract negotiations, securing favorable terms that align with business objectives.
- Effectively manage both new and existing contracts, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations and implementing change control procedures.
- Proactively resolve commercial issues, fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Oversee the financial aspects of contracts, including forecasting, milestone planning, and timely claim submissions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing expert guidance and building lasting relationships.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the contracting process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contractual documents.
- Strong understanding of commercial principles, governing law, and risk management practices.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
