Team Leader Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our team at Brook View school. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team to maintain a stable, happy, and caring environment that prioritizes the health, safety, and welfare of our young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide appropriate physical and emotional support to young people in residence through the work of a care staff team within a residential environment.
  • Effectively manage a team, motivating, coaching, and managing performance via probation and appraisal.
  • Ensure that 'The Children's Home Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards' are exceeded, and provide opportunities for practice development.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of management practice, including principles of effective supervision and appraisal.
  • Good knowledge of learning disabilities and/or special needs, including recent developments.
  • Proven experience of leading and managing a team in a care/learning support context.
  • Proven experience of working effectively with young people with learning disabilities and/or special needs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Level 3 RQF Child and Young Person's Workforce qualification or equivalent.
  • Ability to undertake required training as requested.
