Position Overview:

As a Logistics Specialist II, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient handling and processing of materials within our operations. Your role will involve adhering to established protocols and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrive punctually and adhere to scheduled working hours, including overtime as necessary.
  • Follow all documented procedures and report any discrepancies to the Area Supervisor.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and wear the designated uniform in good condition.
  • Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and refer to job-specific Job Safety Analysis.
  • Conduct all tasks safely and keep work areas clean and free of hazards.
  • Listen to and follow both written and verbal instructions in English, reporting any property damage or safety concerns immediately.
  • Accurately document work and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Efficiently operate assigned machinery and perform basic maintenance, reporting any equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Assist in training coworkers on job functions as needed and monitor products for defects.
  • Support inventory processes as requested, including auditing and resolving discrepancies.
  • Accurately pick and pack shipments, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels of consumables and understand requisition procedures.
  • Engage proactively with team members to identify and address product or process issues.
  • Ensure compliance with site security policies and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as required within the scope of the role.

Qualifications:

  • Strong educational background with proficiency in verbal and written English.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas simply.
  • Proficient in PC applications, particularly spreadsheets, and experienced with ERP/MRP systems.
  • This position does not require travel.
